How Metric Devices collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Who We Are
Metric Devices operates splayometer.com and shop.splayometer.com (together, the “Sites”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Sites, how we use it, and who we share it with. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@metricdevices.com.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us.
- Orders: your name, email address, shipping address, and the items you order.
- Contact form: your name, email address, organization, and message.
- Giveaway and feedback forms: the information you enter, such as your name, email address, and company.
- Email: anything you send to us by email.
Payment cards. Card details are entered into a secure payment form provided by Square and go directly to Square. We never receive or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically.
- Google Analytics runs on splayometer.com (not on the shop). It uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your browser and device type, and your approximate location.
- Our hosting provider processes technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver pages and to protect our forms from automated spam.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process and ship your order and send order confirmations and shipping notices.
- To respond to your questions and provide warranty, return, and support service.
- To meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting records and medical device regulations, and to contact you about a product safety notice if one is ever issued.
- To run giveaways you enter.
- To send you news about our products. You can unsubscribe at any time (see Section 5).
- To understand how the Sites are used and improve them.
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Square — payment processing.
- Google — website analytics (Google Analytics).
- Website hosting and security provider.
- Productivity and email service providers — form collection, order records, and email.
- Customer relationship management provider — customer contact management and email.
- Shipping carriers — your name and shipping address, to deliver your order.
We may also disclose information when required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or a request from a government agency.
5. Marketing Emails and Unsubscribing
If we send you emails about our products, each one includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing support@metricdevices.com. Unsubscribing does not stop messages about an order, a warranty claim, or a product safety notice.
6. Cookies, Do Not Track, and Third-Party Tracking
Google Analytics uses cookies on splayometer.com. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
The Sites do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

7. How Long We Keep It
We keep order records for as long as required for tax, accounting, and FDA record-keeping. We keep other information, such as contact form messages, for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Reviewing or Changing Your Information
To review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, email support@metricdevices.com. We may need to keep some records, such as order records, where the law requires it.
10. Children
The Sites are intended for healthcare professionals and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Changes to This Policy
When we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date below. If a change is material, we will note it at the top of this page.
